14 Marketing Methods That Are Working Right Now
July 4th seems a great time to bring up the hugely desirable topics of freedom and independence.
Because pretty much every Solopreneur I know started their business because they yearned for freedom and independence. Does this sound like you?
I yearned for freedom to plan my own schedule, work around my friends, vacations, kids etc. To have lunch with my girlfriends if I felt like it. Time to get to the gym. I wanted freedom to choose my earning power, and my destiny. And the ability to outsource
Your next business breakthrough
What would happen if you just let it go? Yup. Dropped it. Stopped.
This challenged me, I hope it challenges you
I was challenged to just let go during a very transformational hour with Greg Head – Chief Marketing officer of InfusionSoft. (Ya, these guys know a thing or two about growing a successful business!) Greg was reviewing my business with me.
He gave me an insight I will never forget – it has proved so valuable.
He said “In order to take your business to the next level, you need
A Health Care Subsidy Startups Will Love
One of the few things I get on my soap box about is that self-employed entrepreneurs should be able to get affordable health care. We need to look after our entrepreneurs so badly - they are the lifeblood of our economy.
So I do want to make sure that if you are just starting out your business, and your adjusted gross income is still under $46,000 - you know about this subsidy.
Here is a link to an NPR blog article which answers some basic questions about who qualifies for Obama care.
No chance of this on New Year’s Day!
Last year on New Year’s Day – my daughter and I went to our normal Zumba class (yes, I am an addict) at the Rec Center and it was 100% full, 20 minutes before the class started. Bummer! The Rec Center attendant assured us “No chance of everyone getting into Zumba today”.
The classes stayed really full for the next 6 weeks, and then mysteriously the numbers dropped and we could get in to them easily again.
Us people are so cute! We get so filled with huge motivation and
What The Bachelorette Shows You About Your Niche
Like millions of other women (and I hope at least a few men), I was glued to The Bachelorette season finale on Monday - tears running down my face as Des confessed to Chris that her love for Brooks had blinded her to how amazing Chris was. A few seconds later he proposed. Aaaww!
We needed a great ending. It was so heartbreaking watching this adorable woman get her heart broken by Brooks last week. Especially after her previous disappointments on The Bachelor. Is Brooks crazy??
Maybe I am in a bad mood today, and pardon the gross pic, but is anyone else sick of hearing about the easiest, hottest, quick new way to make boat loads of money effortlessly in your business?
COME ON! What a load of BS! If you believe this hype you are doing yourself and your business real damage.

Thank you crappy lawn mower guy
I am inspired on this 4th of July to tell you a rather personal independence story.
It was 1991. My husband had died in a horrific car wreck, aged 33, a few months earlier. I had a 5 month old baby. I had resigned from my corporate job to have my baby and I was now sitting at home in shock, wondering what on earth to do with the rest my life. I was broke, scared and very sad.
I was also overwhelmed by coping with a multitude of chores that my husband used to take care of. Gosh how I wish I
Guess who has me really excited and why?
I admit I tend to be a little excitable at the best of times. But every now and then something happens that just has me over the moon excited, and this is one of those things.
I JUST HAVE TO SHARE right now who the amazing EMCEES of my April 25-26 Client Attraction Secrets Live event will be. And why I am so honored and excited to have them as my event EMCEE’s!
Here is why I absolutely love them:
They have a huge energy and passion for entrepreneurs
They believe in doing business
Does Size Matter?
I am talking about list size. Of course.
And list size is a lucrative matter to those entrepreneurs who have built up a huge one. But there are are entrepreneurs with tiny lists that are still managing to make some serious six-figure plus incomes.
I recently hosted Nancy Juetten of Authentic Visibility on a webinar to my list, and we really laid open what it takes to build a powerful list quickly. I wanted to feature Nancy because she has personally done the work in the trenches
Faith in Your Business Epiphany
I was watching TV on a lazy Sunday morning recently, and caught the tail end of Oprah’s Super Soul Sunday, just as Mastin Kipp told the story of the small 8' x 8' room representing the size of his faith.
And then it hit me. The size of our faith is a mega-indicator of our business success potential. And this is true regardless of how religious you may be or what your beliefs are. The fact that I see demonstrated daily by my clients is this:
Your faith and belief in yourself, your future
